Nova Scotia’s mosaic of founding peoples is well represented in today’s contemporary Nova Scotian musicians. From Mi’kmaq drummers to soulful African-Nova Scotian gospel songs, to groups celebrating our Celtic or Acadian heritage, Nova Scotia’s many cultures come alive through music.

Many events are now showcasing Nova Scotia’s diverse founding peoples, as well as those of our immigrant cultures - Eastern European Jewish klezmer music for weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, African calypso/jazz/fusion, great South American rhythms. Walt Music has also produced multicultural events featuring a taste of all the many flavours of Nova Scotian culture.

Examples of available artists may be viewed on the right.
